Perpetually improving your well-being

About the Practitioner

I am a somatic experiencing practitioner. I completed three years of training through Dr. Peter Levine's Somatic Experiencing® Trauma Institute (SETI). I also have studied extensively the Organic Intelligence model of SE® with Steven Hoskinson, a SETI Senior International Instructor.

Other influences that inform my work include Marshal Rosenberg's Non-Violent Communication (NVC), a daily meditation practice, mindfulness study as a four-year student resident at San Francisco Zen Center, and mediation and alternative dispute resolution work.

I have been a student, practitioner or trainer of NVC for almost a decade, completing two, year-long courses - the immersion and leadership programs - with Bay Area NVC. I have studied and taught with Bay NVC founder Miki Kashtan, certified trainer Roxanne Manning and supported NVC couples workshops with Kathy Simon, PhD.

I was a five-year resident of San Francisco Zen Center, studying  dharma with Abbess Kiku Christina Lehnherr.

I also have worked as a volunteer mediator for two community mediation centers, as well as the Superior Court of San Francisco's Small Claims Court Division.
